Lanka issue: Karunanidhi to meet Congress leaders in Chennai
  • 5 years ago
The DMK-triggered crisis in UPA over Lanka resolution has got the Congress on its toes to resolve it. Three senior Congress leaders- Finance Minister P Chidambaram, Defence Minister A K Antony and Health Minister Ghulam Nabi Azad-have reached Chennai to meet DMK Chief M Karunanidhi to find a way out of the crisis. The meeting is likely to transpire at around 5 PM. DMK Chief had threatened to quit the Congress-led UPA if the Centre doesn't amend the resolution to incorporate the demand for international probe and time-bound action against those who may be found guilty of war crimes in Sri Lanka.
