Hyderabad blasts: Coal minister backs HM's call for NCTC

Union home minister Sushilkumar Shinde believes that he will succeed in getting chief minister Mamata Banerjee to agree to the creation of the National Counter Terrorism Centre also called the NCTC. The Home Minister's thoughts echoed by Union Coal Minister Sriprakash Jaiswal on Sunday. Union Home Minister Sushilkumar Shinde said in Kolkata on Sunday that the Centre was "expecting something after two executions of terror convicts and that it was sending out alerts. Ajmal Kasab was hanged to death in November 2012 and Afzal Guru's hanging took place earlier this month.Jaiswal said that a strong anti-terror body like NCTC is required in the fight against effectively and bring such activities to an end.
