Jaitley phone tap case: BJP demands explanation

The special cell has arrested a constable working in Parliament Street police station on charges that he illegally sought call detail records of BJP Leader Arun Jaitley. The constable had allegedly illegally sought the same by sending a mail through an official email ID of ACP of Operations of New Delhi district. 32-year-old Delhi police constable Arvind Dabas allegedly sent the email to the mobile service provider company on January 17. It was only after the service provider company's nodal officer called back to verify if any such request has been made that police got to know about the request and took action.
