A curfew has been declared in and around Kashmir Valley in response to news that Afzal Guru's mercy petition has been rejected by the President and he is been hanged. Sources say Parliament attack accused Afzal Guru has been hanged at Tihar jail this morning. The situation is tense in the valley. Sources say Afzal Guru was taken to Tihar jail this morning for hanging. Guru was convicted of conspiracy in the December 2001 attack on Parliament and was sentenced to death by the Supreme Court in 2004.
