Even as charges have been framed against sacked CWG chairman Suresh Kalmadi and 9 others in the 2010 Commonwealth games scam, the court has also allowed the CBI allegation that the conspiracy and misuse of public money had begun from 2008 onwards. The court dealing with the case said that two of the accused in the present case-had paid over 72 lakh for actor Shilpa Shetty's performance in the closing ceremony of the 2008 CWG youth games merely to fulfill the last minute wish of Suresh Kalmadi.
