There was high drama at former Army Chief V K Singh's house when his wife alleged that an Army Major was trying to rob their house. The Army clarified that he was only trying to disconnect an army phone connection given to V K Singh. Media personnel tried to corner the Army Major, who defended his presence at Singh's house. The Army later said the Major was leading Army Signals that was sent to remove an Army telephone exchange from Singh's home since retired officers were not entitled to it. The team had to beat a retreat after Singh's wife called the police and the media.
