'Anti-Gadkari' chorus grows in BJP - NewsX
  • 5 years ago
The BJP has suspended Rajya Sabha member Ram Jethmalani, an attempt to stem increasing indiscipline within the organisation and silence public criticism by its members of senior leaders, including party president Nitin Gadkari. And even as the BJP meets to take stock of the issue... the question it needs to ask is why is it being selective in its approach to the dissent? What has happened to its self-professed tolerance of democratic expression? Why is it taking action on Jethmalani alone and not the other leaders who also spoke against Gadkari. Haven't their actions also helped the Congress? Is the BJP afraid to act against the others for fear that it will trigger bigger rebellion?
