Samajwadi Party is once again in the thick of things over its men taking law into their own hands, But this time Uttar Pradesh Chief Minister Akhilesh Yadav sacked and expelled one of its ministers, who has been detained for allegedly assaulting two photo journalists. The sacked minister, Natwar Lal Goel, was the chairman of the UP Khadi Gram Udyog, having status of minister of state. Goel has also been expelled from the party. The journalists were returning after taking photographs of an unauthorised building that was coming up after razing down an aided college, when Goel and his men dragged them into a cabin and attacked them. Goel, however, has refuted the charges.
