Fuel price hike: NDA to hold nationwide strike on Sept 20 - NewsX

After announcing a slew of big bang reforms, the government is now waking up to the murky reality. It is facing a three-pronged attack. On the one hand, Congress allies - Mamata Banerjee as well as the DMK who have launched a tirade against the government refusing to allow FDI in multi brand retail and demanding a rollback. Then there is the Opposition - NDA, which will hold a nationwide strike on 20th of September against diesel price hike and FDI in retail. And finally non-UPA parties - Samajwadi Party, JDS, Left, BJD and TDP have joined forces and decided to launch a nationwide protest as well.
