Bijnor: Woman stripped, paraded naked by Khap Panchayat - NewsX

A woman is stripped naked and paraded through the streets of a village in the Dhampur area, after she is found guilty of having helped a couple elope. Reports say drunk members of the Khap Panchayat ripped off the woman's clothes and painted her face black and then paraded her through the village. On its part, Police has only filed a case of molestation against 7 members of the Panchayat. One of them has been arrested. As the victims cry out for help, police has refused to speak to the media.
