In the run up to the Lok Sabha elections, there is infighting in the Bharatiya Janata Party with senior leaders standing up against the party's prime ministerial candidate Narendra Modi and his brand of politics. Even though senior party leader Sushma Swaraj said she was hurt by the denial of ticket to senior colleague Jaswant Singh to contest from his home town Barmer in Rajasthan, the Modi camp is firm on having its way. The party has also denied ticket to Harin Pathak, a loyalist of party veteran LK Advani.
Jaswant Singh said, "There is a real and a fake BJP and it is the public who will decide which one is the real BJP."
