The CBI is seeking a court trial for former BJP president L.K. Advani in the demolition of the controversial structure of Babri Masjid along with the karsevaks. Advani has been acquitted in the case in an earlier court order, But the CBI is unwilling to let him off the hook. The CBI's appeal came up in the Supreme Court recently against an earlier Allahabad High Court order that dismissed its petition against Advani's acquittal.
