BJP leader Bangaru Laxman has resigned from BJP's Executive Committee. He has sent a handwritten letter to party president Nitin Gadkari. However, Laxman continues to be a member of the BJP. On Sunday, senior BJP leader Shanta Kumar had said that the former party chief Bangaru Laxman's conviction in the 11-year-old bribery case was a 'black day' for the party. Shanta Kumar said the party would have to pay the price for not acting well on time against him.
