India News: Tainted self-styled godman Asaram Bapu may now face even tougher situation as one of his key aides and also an accused in the case Chhindwara Gurukul Ashram hostel warden, Shilpi alias Sanchita Gupta, has surrendered in Jodhpur on Wednesday, the police said.
The self-styled godman is in Jodhpur Central Jail over the allegations of sexually assaulting a minor girl at his Jodhpur ashram in August.
The police have revealed that it was Shilpi who had sent the 16-year-old girl to Asaram Bapu after claiming that she needed a special exorcism ritual. She had been dodging the police for nearly a month after the case was registered against the self-styled godman and after her name cropped in that case.
