India News : Number of licensed weapons were used in the riots, says UP ADG UP ADG Arun Kumar for Law and Order, added that action would be taken against lax police officers. "Most deaths took place at Fugana. The Fugana SHO has been placed under suspension", Kumar added.
Earlier he said that the death toll was 28 and that 90 people had been arrested in relation with the violence.
