SC raps Punjab govt's clemency politics for terrorists-NewsX

The Supreme Court has hit out at the Government without mentioning any names. Making is observations during the Bhullar's mercy trial; the apex court described the entire episode as a drama and slammed the process and politics behind clemency for terrorists. The Supreme Court coming down heavily on the government said and I quote, "This entire thing is a drama, it's noticed that the person guilty of terrorism has found the support of political parties. Parties have garnered support from such persons how can they now leave them? If a decision was taken at an appropriate time, public exchequer would have been saved of many crores of rupees..."
