Supreme Court has blasted the Karnataka government on the issue of Cauvery river water dispute. Karnataka has not obeyed the order of the CRA's direction to release 9000 cuseks of water daily. A bench of Justice D K Jain and Madan B Lokur directed the Karnataka Govt to release 9000 cuseks of water till 20th October. On Sept 19 a meeting had taken place and the CRA directed release of water. The Suprme Court has said it is very unfortunate that Karnataka is not obeying the directions of CRA headed by PM.
