Ambika Banerjee, the Trinamool MP whose May 2011 letter the Army Chief is using to target Lt Gen Dalbir Singh now, has alleged that there were widespread 'procurement scams' in the 'secretive' Special Frontier Force when it was commanded by Lt Gen Dalbir Singh Suhag. Lt Gen Suhag who now commands 3 Corps headed SFF which is under the administrative control of the Research and Analysis Wing, India's premier foreign intelligence agency. The allegations include payoffs for the purchase of night-vision devices, communication systems, weapons as well as parachutes.
