SP Legislature party to nominate Akhilesh as CM today-NewsX

The stage seems to be set for Akhilesh Yadav to take over as Chief Minister of Uttar Pradesh after the Samajwadi Party's landslide victory. The SP Legislature party is to meet in Lucknow in a short while from now and officially name the new UP CM. Sources say Mulayam has convinced senior SP leaders Azam Khan and Shivpal Yadav that Akhilesh should be at the helm. Senior party leaders met Mulayam Singh Yadav late yesterday evening on the matter.
