The government has cancelled the license of 3 foreign NGOs for allegedly diverting funds to fuel the anti-nuclear protests at Kudankulam. Russia which is building the reactors welcomed the development with its ambassador alleging a conspiracy picking on the Prime Minister's remarks that US and Scandinavian interests are trying to scuttle the plant. The protestors at the nuclear plant have called the charges baseless. And are demanding to see the proof
