The BJP has moved a notice for adjournment of the Question Hour in the Lok Sabha to discuss the delay in hanging Parliament Attack convict Afzal Guru. Afzal Guru has been on death row since 2002 when he was sentenced to death by a local court. His mercy plea was sent to the President but it was referred back to the Home Ministry by the President to take a re-look at. The BJP is objecting to the inordinate delay in carrying out the sentence against him and wants to know from the government why the death sentence of Mumbai attack convict Ajmal Kasab was carried out before him, Guru's case being much older than Kasab's
