PM Calls Gujarat Under Modi a Chained State

Sonia Gandhi may be playing it safe after her 2007 'maut ka saudagar' comment towards Modi completely backfired for Congress and Narendra Modi had a landslide win. Instead it is Prime Minister Manmohan Singh who is taking up the fight against the Gujarat Chief Minister. While campaigning for Congress in Gujarat over the weekend. Manmohan Singh wasn't shy about playing the minority card while taking on Modi. Targeting the state government over the ghosts of the 2002 riots the Prime Minister said it time has come to liberate Gujarat from divisive politics. He also regretted that minorities were feeling insecure in the BJP-ruled state.
