German star Thomas Müller given straight red card for ugly karate kick
The football world was left in shock after a star collapsed and needed staples in his head following a devastating “claymore kick”.
Thomas Muller was sent-off for Bayern Munich tonight after a sickening karate kick to the head of Nicolas Tagliafico.

The German forward was sent for an early bath with 15 minutes to play in Bayern Munich’s 3-3 thriller against Ajax — where both sides were reduced to ten men, The Sun reports.

Muller caught Nicolas Tagliafico square in the face with his studs with the score level at 1-1 — with the Argentine requiring staples in his head to stem the bleeding.

Ajax had already been reduced to ten men after Maximilian Wober was given his marching orders for serious foul play.

But as the Dutch side — who’d already qualified for the last-16 along with Bayern — pushed for another goal to top the group, utter chaos was let loose.

Kingsley Coman then gave the Bundesliga giants a 3-2 lead in the 90th minute before Tagliafico — fresh from being kicked in the face — found the net.

The Argentine star scored in the fifth minute of added time — before being booked for unsportsmanlike conduct seconds later, while celebrating.

Ajax finished up second in the group with 11 points to Bayern’s 13 — but both progress to the last-16 on the back of a thrilling encounter.
