Former premier Najib Abdul Razak said he didn't expect to receive such support during his visit to a hypermarket in Semenyih on Wednesday night.

Arriving at the hypermarket at about 8.30pm, Najib was greeted by about 1,000 shoppers, and shouts of "Malu apa Bossku (My boss has nothing to be ashamed of)" and "Boss kita (Our boss)."

Najib said he could not really survey the items on sale in the hypermarket due to the overwhelming crowd, but claimed that he has heard complaints of prices going up.
