West Indies suffered a significant injury blow on the third morning of the third Test in St Lucia, when Keemo Paul, their impressive young allrounder, had to be stretchered from the field after damaging his right quadriceps. The incident occurred in the fourth over of the morning, when Paul set off in pursuit of a Joe Denly cover-drive off Shannon Gabriel. After initially sprinting at full tilt, Paul pulled up suddenly ten metres from the rope, and fell to the ground as soon as he had left the field of play.

सेंट लूसिया में जारी तीसरे टेस्ट मैच के दौरान विंडीज खिलाड़ी कीमो पॉल को गंभीर चोट लग गई है। यह दुर्घटना जब घटी तब सुबह के सत्र का चौथा ही ओवर चल रहा था। क्रीज पर इंग्लिश बल्लेबाज जो डेनली बैटिंग कर रहे थे और गेंदबाजी कर रहे थे शेनन ग्रैबियल। तभी ग्रैबियल की गेंद पर डेनली ने एक कवर ड्राइव मारा जहां पर पॉल को फील्डिंग करने के लिए लगाया गया था। तभी गेंद को रोकने के प्रयास में भागते समय पॉल को चोट लग गई। वे लड़खड़ाते हुए मैदान में गिर गए और बाद में उनको बाउंड्री के बाहर उपचार भी दिया गया। लेकिन कोई आराम ना मिलता देख उनको अततः मैदान छोड़ना पड़ा।
