The two of our greatest ancient epics revolves around constant combats and conflicts between Devas and Daityas, that shows the attempts of Gods to establish Dharma over Adharma. However, we are missing out one important element which mostly appeared in these tales. In this video, we list down those legendary weapons in the Hindu mythologies that hurled out mass destruction.

1. The battle axe called Parashu was owned by Parashurama and was given to him by Lord Shiva.
2. Narayanastra was wielded by Ashwathamma in Kurukshetra and was so destructive that it was meant to be used only once.
3. Brahmastra was a weapon that beams out a flaming storm, which promptly destroyed an entire civilization.
4. The Sudarshan Chakra is considered as the most important weapon of Lord Vishnu, but his mighty sword called Nandaka was beyond compare.
5. Agneyastra or Agniastra was described as a blazing arrow that emits inextinguishable flames in Hindu scriptures.
6. Lord Vishwakarma had crafted a bow for Lord Rama, which was named Kodanda.
7. Gandeev or Gandiva was nondestructive bow created by Lord Brahma and was most efficiently handled by Arjuna.
8. Gada was a blunt mace or club that was possessed by many gods and warriors in Hindu mythologies.
9. Lord Indra's Vajra is a club with a spherical head that is made of bones of Rishi Dadhichi.
10. Lord Brahma had granted Lord Yama a fatal club or staff called Kaladanda, which was the ultimate weapon of death.
