Union minister Anant Kumar Hegde has waded into another controversy after his comments that “the hand that touches a Hindu woman must not exist” as he attacked Congress leader Dinesh Gundu Rao over his reaction. On Hedge’s “hands” comment, Karnataka Congress unit chief Dinesh Gundu Rao said that nothing better could be expected him. Hegde, however, dragged Rao’s wife Tabu Rao while reacting to the Congress leader’s remarks. Tabu Gundu Rao, the latter’s wife, suggested leaders like Hegde to “mind their language” and termed his comment “below the belt & pathetic”.
