CORD says IEBC talks have not collapsed

The Coalition for Reforms and Democracy says talks to resolve the Independent Electoral and Boundaries Commission impasse have not collapsed.
Ugenya Senator James Orengo who is leading the team of seven members nominated to represent CORD in the joint select committee on IEBC says only 30 percent of issues concerning establishment of the joint select committee are to be agreed upon.
He says some of the outstanding issues CORD’s proposal that the negotiations to resolve the IEBC stalemate should be done at a political level other than under the Standing Orders of Parliament.
