She wrote: "Like I said: A puppet," referencing her 2016 Presidential debate comment suggesting that Trump is Russian President Vladimir Putin's puppet. On Friday, the New York Times reported that following the firing of then FBI Director James Comey in May 2017, the bureau opened an investigation into whether President Trump "had been working on behalf of Russia against American interests." Trump responded to the Times' report on Monday, telling reporters: "I never worked for Russia, and you know that answer better than anybody. It's a whole big fat hoax. It's just a hoax." "The people doing that investigation were people that have been caught that are known scoundrels. I guess you could say they're dirty cops," Trump also commented.
