Alok Verma की CBI में वापसी, जानिए कितना अहम है यह फैसला और आगे क्या होगा

सीबीआई डायरेक्टर आलोक वर्मा को छुट्टी पर भेजे जाने के मामले में सुप्रीम कोर्ट ने मंगलवार को फैसला सुना दिया. सुप्रीम कोर्ट ने कहा कि आलोक वर्मा को हटाने से पहले सेलेक्ट कमेटी से पूछना चाहिए था. उन्होंने विनीत नारायण केस का हवाला दिया. कोर्ट ने वर्मा को छुट्टी पर भेजे जाने के नरेंद्र मोदी सरकार के आदेश को निरस्त कर दिया है. सुप्रीम कोर्ट ने कहा कि आलोक वर्मा नीतिगत फैसले नहीं लेंगे और चाहे तो उनपर कार्रवाई की जा सकती है. कोर्ट ने सुनवाई पूरी करने के बाद 6 दिसंबर को इस मामले में फैसला सुरक्षित रख लिया था. दरअसल वर्मा और सीबीआई के स्पेशल डायरेक्टर राकेश अस्थाना ने एक दूसरे पर भ्रष्टाचार के आरोप लगाए थे. दोनों अधिकारियों के बीच कलह इतनी बढ़ गई थी कि केंद्र सरकार को दखल देना पड़ा. सीबीआई के 77 साल के इतिहास में पहली बार ऐसा हुआ जब बात एजेंसी की इज्जत पर आ गई.



Setting aside the Government’s decision to divest CBI Director Alok Verma of his powers and sending him on indefinite leave, the Supreme Court on Tuesday said that the government has no authority to take such decision. The only institution to take a call on Verma is the high-powered committee consisting of the Prime Minister of India, the Chief Justice of India and the Leader of the Opposition in the Lok Sabha.

The verdict has come on on two petitions, one filed by Verma and the other by NGO Common Cause, challenging the government’s decision. Both Verma and his special director Rakesh Asthana were divested of their powers amid public feud.
