What Is ShakeAlert? Los Angeles Earthquake Warning App Launches

ShakeAlert is a new app that warns users of an incoming earthquake in Los Angeles. The app sends out a warning and a countdown of 5 to 10 seconds to when the area the user is in will experience ground shaking. This gives them time to take cover.
