U.S. test-launches ICBM amid North Korea tensions
  • 7 years ago
The U.S. military successfully test-launched an Intercontinental-Ballistic Missile from California, just days after North Korea's second test of their own ICBM. The Air Force claimed that the action is not a response to North Korea's recent test launch, but to demonstrate U.S.' nuclear enterprise is "safe, secure and effective", and ready to "deter, detect and defend" attacks against the U.S. and its allies.
