According to a report by Reuters, the US Federal Communications Commission is investigating a nationwide CenturyLink outage that has affected 911 emergency phone calls across America. On Friday, Agency chairman Ajit Pai said, “The CenturyLink service outage is ... completely unacceptable, and its breadth and duration are particularly troubling. I’ve directed the Public Safety and Homeland Security Bureau to immediately launch an investigation into the cause and impact of this outage.
