President Trump on Thursday posted another tweet on illegal immigration.
President Trump has given a 2011 tweet from then-President Barack Obama his full support in order to push his own position on immigration. "I strongly believe that we should take on, once and for all, the issue of illegal immigration," Obama wrote about eight years ago. Sharing Obama's tweet on Thursday, Trump wrote, "I totally agree!" His embrace of Obama's statement comes as Trump is at odds with Democrats over money for his border wall, resulting in a partial government shutdown.
"Have the Democrats finally realized that we desperately need Border Security and a Wall on the Southern Border," Trump tweeted earlier on Thursday. "Need to stop Drugs, Human Trafficking,Gang Members & Criminals from coming into our Country. Do the Dems realize that most of the people not getting paid are Democrats?"
