Audrey Geisel, Widow Of Dr. Seuss, Passes At Age 97

Audrey Geisel, widow of beloved children’s book author Dr. Seuss and avid promoter of his legacy, recently passed away at her California home.

According to Reuters Geisel was 97 years old at the time of her passing.

Geisel married the writer, whose real name was Theodor Geisel, in 1968.

After his death in 1991, she founded Dr. Seuss Enterprises to license the characters he created and protect their use outside of his books.
