Spike Lee will be honored with a career achievement award from the Palm Springs International Film Festival.
SFGate reports the festival committee announced the honor on Wednesday.
Lee has been making films for more than three decades, including **Do The Right Thing** and **She’s Gotta Have It**. and “Malcolm X.”
His most recent film was **BlacKkKlansman**, which has been praised by critics.
