Why Aamir didn't do Saare Jahan Se Accha, offered it to Shah Rukh

Aamir Khan said on Monday he is happy Shah Rukh Khan is doing Saare Jahaan Se Accha, the film on astronaut Rakesh Sharma that he couldn’t do because of his tight schedule. Aamir said he was sad he couldn’t take the offer to do the film, written by Anjum Rajabali. Aamir said he had read the script and found it so engaging he called up Shah Rukh Khan and requested him to read the script. He said he was really happy Shah Rukh Khan liked the script and agreed for the role.
