President Trump on Monday called progressive Florida gubernatorial candidate Andrew Gillum a "thief."
"In Florida there is a choice between a Harvard/Yale educated man named @RonDeSantisFL who has been a great Congressman and will be a great Governor - and a Dem who is a thief and who is Mayor of poorly run Tallahassee, said to be one of the most corrupt cities in the Country!" Trump said in a tweet.
The FBI is conducting an investigation into suspected corruption at Tallahassee's city hall. Gillum is accused of accepting a ticket to the musical "Hamilton" from an FBI agent who was posing as a local developer, notes The Hill. Meanwhile, DeSantis is under scrutiny for his alleged alignments with various racist groups.
