Koteka Wenda gives a speech at the Indonesian embassy for West Papua's legal right to self determination. The Act of of free Choice, 1969, was a fraudulent betrayl of West Papua's right to self detemination.

The people of West Papua refuse the Act of free Choice as a claim of overeignty by Indonesia over West Papua.

Indonesia claims 1025 people voted to join Indonesia in 1969.
In 2017, 1.8 million West Papuan people signed the West Papuan peoples petition rejecting the Act of free Choice and calling for an internationally supervised vote on independence.

We demand a free and fair act of self determination under international law and to international standards. We demand an internationally supervised vote. We demand a referendum on independence.

We will be free people.
