Germany is caught between India and Pakistan. Germany stands by Pakistan in its efforts for peace and also needs Pakistan's influence in Afghanistan as they have their army troops stationed there, but Pakistan is now interfering with their internal army. On the other hand, India is a strategic partner of Germany which Pakistan is not; Germany still has some hope with the Pakistan PM Imran Khan who may bring some changes in Afghanistan.
