Nightingale of India, Lata Mangeshkar died on February 6 in Mumbai. The legendary singer was cremated with full state honours at Mumbai’s Shivaji Park. PM Narendra Modi, Shah Rukh Khan, Aamir Khan, Ranbir Kapoor and many others gathered to pay their last respects. Condolence messages came in from across the world for the veteran singer. Pakistan Prime Minister Imran Khan also took to Twitter to pay tribute to India’s icon. Khan said, “The subcontinent has lost one of the truly great singers the world has known.” Pakistan cricket team captain Babar Azam tweeted, “Her magical voice and legacy will continue to live in the hearts of millions worldwide.” Cricketer Shoaib Malik tweeted, “Lata Mangeshkar jee will be dearly missed by every music lover around the world.” PCB chairman Ramiz Raja also condoled the death of the veteran singer. The Afghan media also remembered Lata Mangeshkar in their telecast.
