Donald Trump Jr. on Tuesday fired back at CNN’s Jeffrey Toobin, who had mocked him for fearing for his sons in the #MeToo era.
Donald Trump Jr. on Tuesday fired back at CNN's Jeffrey Toobin, who had mocked him for fearing for his sons in the #MeToo era, reports Mediaite. "What's actual garbage is a partisan liberal hack who masquerades as a journalist on @CNN, attacking me for loving & caring about all my children," Trump Jr. said in a Tweet.
"It's scumbags like @JeffreyToobin, who don't believe in the presumption of innocence that cause me to worry for my sons," he also noted. Trump Jr. made the comment in question in an interview with DailyMailTV. When asked if, in light of the sexual assault allegations against Supreme Court nominee Brett Kavanaugh, he is more fearful for his sons or daughters, Trump Jr. replied, "Right now, I'd say my sons." Not long after that statement was aired, Toobin said, "Every night I cry myself to sleep over the fate of white men in America. White men have no power, white men — I mean, it's such garbage."
"If you sexually assault someone in high school your life should be ruined. Your life should be pursued...All this whining about the poor plight of white men is ridiculous," Toobin further noted.
