PM Modi inaugurates first assembly of International Solar Alliance

Prime Minister Narendra Modi inaugurated first assembly of International Solar Alliance on Tuesday. The inauguration ceremony was held at Vigyan Bhawan in New Delhi. United Nations Secretary General Antonio Guterres was also present at the event.

The Prime Minister said, India has started working on the action plan for the deployment of renewable energy to fulfil the goals of Paris Agreement. He said, India will generate 40 per cent of electricity using non-fossil fuel based resources by 2030.
