Typhoon Trami made landfall in the Wakayama Prefecture in western Japan on Sunday, September 30, leaving at least 50 injured and a trail of destruction.

This video, filmed in Okinawa the morning after, shows debris from branches broken off trees and strong crashing waves.

The typhoon caused flight cancellations and power outages in several cities, as well as evacuations of over 700,000 households in southern and western Japan.

In Tokyo, where the effects of the storm were also felt, train services were suspended. According to local broadcasters, this marked the first time the rail operator took such action. Services resumed on Monday morning.
