Residents are advised to evacuate as heavy winds and rain batter Japan's second city of Osaka as part of Typhoon Jebi.

The storm, the biggest to hit Japan in 25 years, has ripped apart buildings and trees and caused flooding.

Footage shows the scene on Tuesday morning (September 4) in Osaka.

Up to 300,000 people have been advised to evacuate.
