Drone footage shows kangaroo taking a dip in the ocean

A kangaroo swimming up a beach and swiftly hopping away once reaching ground is certainly not a sight you'd see everyday.
But that's exactly what Australian Brendan Lewis managed to capture on his drone one morning on his daily beach walk with the dogs.
"At first, I was just curious what everyone was looking at. I thought it could have just been a dolphin or something in the bay that’s come close to shore," he told Newsflare.
Upon closer inspection, he realised that the mysterious swimmer was actually a kangaroo. Lewis said they often see kangaroos in Coffs Harbour, a city on the Mid North Coast of New South Wales where this was filmed, but not often on this beach and never in the water.
In the video, the kangaroo is seen paddling deftly. When he reaches the beach, he hops away quickly, not seemingly tired or worn out from the swim.
"I believe he might have been on a beach next to this one and possibly got scared of some dogs and went into the water, then just headed for the beach," Lewis added. "However I'm not 100% sure as by the time I spotted him he was in the middle of the bay."
