Cape cobra takes dip in ocean off South African coast

Unusual video from South Africa of a Cape cobra taking a swim at a beach.
In the video, filmed at Paternoster on November 10, a small seaside town on the west coast of South Africa, the Cape cobra can be seen making the most of the good weather as it shimmies effortlessly through the inviting waves.
Filmer and Western Cape resident Juliette Thirsk was walking along the beach with her fiance to celebrate six years of dating at the time.
Writes Thirsk: "We were walking on the beach with our two rescue dogs. Dixie, the more rambunctious of the two, ran ahead and started 'playing' with what looked like kelp at first," the filmer wrote online.
"We are also getting married in Paternoster next year and it (has) a special place in our hearts," writes Thirsk.
According to experts, the Cape Cobra usually only attacks when it feels threatened.
