Thick plumes of smoke from massive Mississauga fire seen from miles away

Fire crews responded to a large fire at an auto scrapyard in Mississauga on the evening of Thursday, September 20.

According to local media, responders arrived at the scene at Mavis Road and Central Parkway around 7 pm, where the massive fire was burning. At the height of the fire, 11 trucks, two command officers and two support vehicles were on scene assisting.

No cause of the fire was announced at the time of writing and no injuries were reported.

The blaze was still active as of 9:30 pm.
