Beachside village bears the brunt of Typhoon Mangkhut

The beachside village of Shek O in southeast Hong Kong was one of the areas hardest hit by Typhoon Mangkhut, the most intense storm on record to strike the city. Floodwaters pushed debris onto streets and caused extensive damage to homes and businesses. Two days after the storm, its residents are slowly picking up the pieces in what will be a long road to recovery.
