Enormous Typhoon Slams Into The Philippines

According to CNN, at least two people have been killed by Typhoon Mangkhut, which slammed into the Philippines early Saturday morning. Mangkhut, the strongest storm of 2018 so far, made landfall on the island of Luzon. When it reached land, the storm was packing winds of up to 165 MPH, 75 stronger than when Hurricane Florence hit North Carolina. The death toll is likely to increase, but there was some relief in the Philippines that the damage was not as bad as feared.
